Ryan is the founder of Avery Cooper Financial, a financial planning firm dedicated to serving first responders and their families. He brings a rare dual perspective as both an active law enforcement officer and a financial planner, allowing him to understand the real-world challenges of shift work, overtime, pensions, and early-career financial decisions.
Ryan holds an MBA from the University of Maryland Global Campus and a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Towson University. After years of advising clients while serving on the job, he built Avery Cooper Financial around a simple mission: to provide clear, practical financial guidance for those who spend their careers protecting others.
His approach is education-first, relationship-driven, and grounded in the belief that every first responder deserves a financial plan that works as hard as they do.
Ryan is a Registered Representative and Investment Adviser Representative of Equity Services, Inc. He offers securities in Maryland and is insurance-licensed in Maryland.
